From Principal's Desk
A small building and a few students. That was Lyceum when I joined this school twenty two years back. It seems like yesterday. Time flies, literally. Today we have grown into a formidable institution that boasts of thousands of students, "plus two" level affiliation and modern facilities. It was not easy, it didn't happen in one day. Draining efforts, loads of partience, repeated planing and countless number of meeting finally realised the dream. I would like to thank the Teachers, the Parents, the Non-teaching Staffs, the well wishers and my students to be a part of this rigorous journey. The road was tough, but we chose to be tougher. It would be unfair not to mention the role of Mr. Asit Kumar Roy, our chairman Sir, in this conteset. He has built Lyceum from the scratches, almost single-handedly and continues to be one of the strongest pillars of this institution.
In Lyceum, we aspire to create a blend of bookish knowledge and common sense. We teach the value of humanity and necessity of hard work. Creative thinking tops the list of our priorities to inculcate the habit of independent thinking in young minds.
